For those who are curious this is a number 5 kite from an early eighties 18 footer that had 28 foot wide wings, which is a little more leverage than even I could muster.....

These shots are taken in 3 to 6kts of breeze. Had the wind freshened to 10kts total destruction would have been assured. Which would have confirmed Dads worst fears.....
